Thanks, Bob. This has always been one of my favorite ghost stories, especially because it comes from a close friend of my parents. I find some of these types of accounts to be more comforting than frightening. Everybody wants to think that they'll continue on in the afterlife, don't they?

First time I have read this post John. Isn't it really difficult to just dismiss a story from somebody you know would not lie or make up such a story? So if it is real what does it mean? Remember I said that I do in fact believe in souls, so maybe there is hope for all of us after all! Good down to earth post, well done and it makes one sit up and take notice.

Thanks, Paul. Always been one of my personal favorite ghost stories -- that much more so because I've met the people involved and believe that they're sincere.

Interestingly, the cryptid-related stories seem to get the most comments. I like this story a lot myself, particularly since it happened to a good friend of my parents. That lends a good deal of credibility to it in my eyes.
